Jeanne Holverstott Photo, Autism Therapist

Hi, I’m Jeanne Holverstott, MS

& I am an autism specialist

After almost 20 years in the field, I have focused my client base to autistic females and female-identifying autistics because of several key factors important to my therapeutic process.

I find that these clients tend to be driven to identify problems, engage in self-reflection, and use that to drive their desire and purpose for therapy.

These are the foundational elements of successful therapy with me.

Have you watched Love on the Spectrum with the autism expert who provides social, emotional, and dating advice? That is not me. Literally and figuratively. I approach clients as equals. I speak with clients as complex, whole people, not as static, broken projects. I strive to create a cooperative relationship built on equality, trust, and creativity. I see most clients on a weekly or every-other-week frequency for individual work. I conduct all sessions via Zoom.

I conduct autism assessments for adult women, transwomen, and nonbinary individuals. The process is a data-driven one that involves the collection of a vast amount of anecdotal, observational, historical, and assessment data. The diagnosis of autism is dependent upon this data and how it aligns with the current diagnostic criteria.

Tired of being the only autistic person in the room? I have a group for you. Each group creates their own dynamics, and I sort based on shared interests, life experiences/stages, and communication styles. These are places to discuss current life events from people likely to have had or be moving into similar experiences, as well as dissecting research, questioning social norms, and practicing interactions in a safe place without the B.S.
